Huningue / Ardèche
As most people who know him are aware, Ugo has passed on his passion for white water to his two sons.
Paki is in the final stretch of his U18 career this year and is ranked in National Division 2 by the French Canoe and Kayak Federation.
Huningue
Our Ardèche team (well, Paki and Ugo) travelled to Huningue for this first race weekend. This gave us a chance for a short break in Huningue by the water’s edge. Whilst the weather here in Ardèche was rather dreary, over there they enjoyed a lovely sunny weekend. Our very own Paki had a great race on Saturday, finishing 4th overall and 2nd nationally. In the second race, he finished 11th overall and 9th nationally. Ugo didn’t make the trip for nothing.
He spent the whole weekend helping Paki with race management, travel, accommodation, meals…
His equipment
Paki sails in boats from Galasport; Ugo can also sail this type of boat during training sessions at the CREPS;
They are lightweight fibreglass boats.
This has been a lovely interlude and a great start to the racing season for our eldest. Soon it will be time for our youngest, Tilio, to race.
