Your best option is to leave in the morning for a return around noon, which will allow for a resting nap in the afternoon.
In la Petite Mer water sport centre, several routes are available, from 1 h 30 to 6 hours, dependning on the time spent on breaks and swimming.
Throughout the descent, there are numerous beaches where you can stop to relax and enjoy the scenery. There are also shaded areas available, particularly for those who arrive first at the most beautiful beaches.
Our routes can be completed independently or with a guide. Our guides know the best spots, which is why a guided tour may be the best option.
A canyon, fast !
At La Petite Mer, we offer a family-friendly canyon that’s accessible to everyone, with jumps and a water slide in crystal-clear water. The best thing to do is to go in the morning and enjoy the scenery and the cool air up there in the afternoon.

Why not visit a cave or something similar?
Natural caves are naturally air-conditioned. For a fun outing with children, the Grotte de la Forestière comes highly recommended. This cave is considered a must-see for younger visitors. The tour is conducted by torchlight, whilst organised treasure hunts and various games are on offer, much to the children’s delight.
The Chauvet Cave is also a must-see attraction. Whilst the descent was carried out by boat with a guide, this tour will enable you to deepen your knowledge of our magnificent heritage. Even though it is a reconstruction, you can still appreciate the cool atmosphere of the place and discover this remarkable site. Visit the Chauvet Cave.
For the more curious, you might want to make a detour via our lovely village of Lagorce. A tour focusing on bees, as well as a honey tasting, are on offer there. In this old building, the walls keep the interior cool, making for a particularly pleasant visit. You’ll receive a warm welcome there and learn a great deal about our bees – so precious and fragile – at the Ruchers de l’Ibie. A visit to the Ruchers de l’Ibie is also highly recommended. If you go early, you can explore a lovely photographic exhibition along a short walking trail.
